1. Be Gentle With Me - click on the title to hear the complete song.A cautious song about the delicate moments at the beginning of a relationship, when you want to be so sure about everything and aren't quite able to believe that it can be love. One of my favorite songs.
2. She Feels The Same - a sort of true story, told from the point of view of the other guy, explaining that rather than helping me with a relationship he is, in fact, taking the girl away. Originally released, in quite different form, on my earlier album, "Random Glances". Features guest appearances from Stan Lynch on percussion and Jim DeVito on bass.
3. You And I - another sort of true story, loosely based on a time when I was working with another performer and got the crazy idea that perhaps a more intimate relationship might be a good idea. Apparently, I was the only one who thought that, so I guess it wasn't "more than the music". Features a guest appearance from Mike Nugen on electric guitar.
4. Never Should Have Had To Say Goodbye - an attempt to reason with an old love. Pretty hard to do. Originally released on my earlier album, "Random Glances".
5. Grace - click on the title to hear the complete song. This tells a story about a May - December romance, and its attendant perils.
6. Is It True? - a wistful song that chronicles the slowly dawning awareness that a close friend of the opposite sex can become more than that in the blink of an eye.
7. Secrets - a very different sort of song than my listeners are used to. I kept it on the album, as it contains what I consider some of my best writing. Due to adult subject matter, you might want to make sure that the kids aren't in the room while it's playing. Features guest appearances from Keaton Embler on percussion, as well as some incredible electric and slide guitar work from Mike Nugen.
8. The Hole Where My Heart Used To Be - if someone "took" your heart, wouldn't you want it back?
9. Sunshine - another uptempo song, with the rather unusual (for me, anyway) theme of being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Features a guest appearance from Stan Lynch on percussion. Originally released on my earlier album "Random Glances".
10. Bring The Light - a song which continues the theme heard on "Pass It Around" on my earlier album "Solo". It's incumbent upon all of us to do what we can, where we can to make the world a better place, one person at a time. You can define "light" in any way you want to, as long as you help make it shine. Features the infamous "Gang of Stu" background vocal arrangement :-)
11. She Sings To Me - a song which really needs no explanation. Listen to the words. It's all there.
12. Blow 'em Away - written by Chuck Brodsky , this tune perfectly details the many hidden thoughts we all have while cruising in our cars. What a relief it is that we don't act on them. Thanks for letting me do a version of this one, Chuck. Features guest appearances by Jim Devito on electric and bass guitar, as well as percussion by Stan Lynch, and an inspired saxophone part from Marty Jourard.
